Dear Guest,
Welcome to the Martial Art School Alliance forums!
As a guest or member, I'd like to introduce you to a few simple rules for utilizing our public forums:
- Post in Good Taste – All posts must be in good taste and use discretion in their message.
- Be Positive – We maintain a positive and encouraging environment for our guests and members. Negative attitudes and language are a drain on you and everyone around you. If all you're here for is to cuss, gripe, and complain, then you don't belong here. Find someplace else to neg' people out.
- No Slander – No slandering or slamming any person, association, or organization directly. If you want to state a negative experience or opinion of another person or organization in the martial arts community, it's certainly your right to do so. However, you are not allowed to do it here.
- No Advertising – If it is obvious that you are simply posting on our forums "to get your name out" for a product or service that you are marketing to the martial arts community, don't bother because your post will be edited for content or removed. Instead, contact me about your product or service – if I like it, I may decide to let our members know about it. Bottom line on this one – if you want to market your product or service for free, do it somewhere else. Exception: You are encouraged to link to your own school's website in your signature file. Please confine the number of links in your signature to at most two personal links (for example, your school site and your blog).
- No Flaming – No flame wars or insulting back and forth. There are plenty of forums that plainly exist for that sole purpose, and they're easy to find. If you want to start a flame war, go where it's allowed… and that's not here.
Those are the rules of conduct in a nutshell. As you can see, they are designed to keep this forum a postive place for our guests and members. Please keep these simple rules in mind as you browse and post on our forums in order to ensure your continued use of these forums.
Sincerely,
Mike Massie, Founder
